An underglaze blue and copper-red vase, hu, Kangxi (1662-1722)
of pear shape rising to the tall waisted neck and flared rim, supported on a splayed foot, painted with two prancing deer looking at a butterfly amidst lingzhi fungus sprays beneath the sun -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) high.
