A garniture of three Chinese gilt powder-blue 'swan' vases, circa 1800
each of ovoid form rising to the tall faceted neck surmounted by a flaring foliate rim, supported on a stepped domed and octagonal foot, the body and shoulders applied with two swan handles, gilt with tree peony amidst rockwork below the neck with pagodas in a mountainous river landscape, the foot with lingzhi, cash and classic scroll patterns -- 8 9/16in. (21.7cm.) high. (3)

A pair of famile rose vases of this form are illustrated in Choice of the Private Trader by David Howard, p.244, no.290, these are dated to Jiaqing, circa 1800.
