A pale celadon jade table screen, late 18th century
of rectangular form carved in low relief to one side, depicting water cascading down a river, past pine and bamboo branches, with twin pillars of rockwork jutting out of the swirling waters, towards further over hanging rockwork to the right where a crane rests on a flattened ledge half way up, revealing twin doors to a hidden hermitage, wood frame and stand carved with delicate C-scroll motifs -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high including frame.
