A pair of large spinach jade vessels and covers
each modelled as an archaistic phoenix standing facing forward and supported by its coiled tail fathers and carved with lappets, each separate head with foliate design eyes, open mouth, shaped pointed ears and with scattered scrollwork decoration in relief, each body carved with rows of overlapping feathers flanked by wings carved with coiled dragons and supported on adjoined legs carved with taotie masks to each side - 11¾in. (29.8cm.) high, pierced wooden stands. (2)
