Five enamelled saucer-dishes, Tianqi/Chongzhen (1621-1644)
each dish with a recessed well and shallow cavetto rising to the slightly flaring rim, supported on a short tapering foot, decorated at the well with a tonsured boy holding a string tied to a crab, the rim with a continuous leafy floral scroll, underglaze blue two character seal marks -- 5 13/16in. (14.7cm.) diam. (5)
