The high-shouldered jar surmounted by a short slightly waisted neck, descending over the rounded shoulder to steep tapered sides supported on a short foot, covered to the exterior in a bright slightly irridescent apple-green glaze, the base and interior glazed white

A set of three monochrome jars of the same size with Kangxi marks, one of green glaze, one yellow and another aubergine, were sold at Christie's New York, 3 June 1993, lot 235.

Compare also a yellow-glazed jar and cover with a Kangxi mark of the same form in the Percival David Foundation, illustrated by R. Scott, Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art, London, 1989, p. 94, no. 95. Another Kangxi-marked yellow-glazed jar was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 29 April 2004, lot 658.
