The vase is well-potted with a short, slightly flared cylindrical neck, the broad angular shoulder tapering gently to the narrow foot, the exterior with a brilliant purplish-blue glaze

A similar Qianlong-marked vase of this blue glaze in the Zhuyuetang Collection was included in the exhibition, Shimmering Colours, Monochromes of the Yuan to the Qing Periods, Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 2005, p. 129, no. 62.
