A RARE LONGQUAN CELADON 'TWIN-FISH' DISH
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)

The dish potted with rounded sides rising to a flat everted mouth rim, decorated on the interior with a pair of scaly fish swimming in opposite directions moulded in high relief, the exterior moulded with lotus petals radiating upward from the unglazed foot, covered overall in a glaze of sea-green tone draining at the rim and moulded decoration
