The cylindrical shaft and cover deeply and deftly carved with elongated cartouches each framing a different scene of a scholar, at times with an attendant, travelling through lush outdoor settings with pavilions, aged trees and rock ledges framing each scene and all reserved on formal diaper grounds, the rims encircled with 'Precious Objects', the brush end with a stiff petal border, with a large chrysanthemum flower to the top of the cap and shaft end
