One of garnet, Greek, circa 2nd century B.C., engraved with a portrait of a man in profile to the left, with tightly curling locks receding at the forehead and a full beard; one of carnelian, Roman, circa early 1st century A.D., engraved with a draped portrait bust of a youth in profile to the left, perhaps a Julio-Claudian prince; one of carnelian, Roman, circa mid 1st century A.D., engraved with a portrait of the Emperor Nero in profile to the left, a wreath of laurel in his hair; one of red jasper, Roman, circa early-mid 3rd century A.D., engraved with a draped portrait bust of an Emperor, perhaps Gordian III, in profile to the left, a wreath of laurel in his hair; and one of red jasper, Roman, circa late 2nd-3rd century A.D., engraved with a draped portrait bust of a bearded man in profile to the left
