The hoop formed from a stout flat strip, rectangular in section, embellished on the exterior with a band of crescents framed by plain grooves, terminating in concentric triangles, centered by crosshatched squares framing a medallion, with a repoussé facing head within a border of twisted wire filigree, the hoop ends tapering to wires coiling back, one forming a hook and one a loop
