CIRCA 2ND HALF OF THE 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Hammered from a single heavy sheet, carinated at the brow separating the domed crown from the concave face protectants, the neck-guard flaring, the cheek-guards pointed at their ends, the contoured eye holes peaked at the outer corners, the thin nose-guard conforming to the eye holes, then tapering to the pointed end, protruding slightly, bordered along the entire perimeter with tiny perforations, a larger perforation on each side at the peak between the neck-guard and the cheek-pieces
