AN EAST GREEK OINOCHOE AND LADLE
ARCHAIC PERIOD, CIRCA LATE 6TH-EARLY 5TH CENTURY B.C.
The oinochoe with an ovoid body on a splayed foot, the short neck flaring to the rim, the lower body fluted, with descending tongues on the shoulders and foot, a rosette on the underside, the separately-cast arching handle terminating in a palmette handle-plate; the ladle with a shallow bowl and a long faceted stem, the inward-curving loop handle terminating in a bovine head with short ridged horns
