With gilt chain fusee movement, cylinder escapement, turned baluster pillars, pierced and engraved cock and foot, quarter repeating on a bell, under dust cover, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minute numerals, fine gold hands, pierced and engraved decorated inner case, repeating by depressing the pendant, lever at two for the strike/no strike, outer case with translucent blue enamel on guilloché background, the front and back rims decorated with seed pearl and burgundy coloured stones, white enamel scalloped border decoration, finely shaped five piece hinge, inner case stamped VW with London hallmarks for 1788, dust cover and movement signed and numbered, inner case also numbered on the outside near the pendant
