Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of this watch in 1985 and its subsequet sale on 3 October 1985.
To the best of our knowledge, only 244 examples of the Ref. 3450 were produced between 1981 and 1986, largely in yellow gold, very few specimens were made in pink and white gold. It is the successor of the reference 3448.
Reference 3450 differs from its predecessor with the improved 27.460 QB (Quantième Bissextile) calibre and the modified leap year indication between 3 and 4 o'clock. The first series featured a red Arabic leap year indicator; the second, such as the present watch, with Roman numerals and very few were equipped with glazed display backs
To the best of our knowledge, only 6 pieces of the thrid series were produced with chain bracelet like the present watch.
Ref. 3450 is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 290, pl. 449a.
