Saint-Emilion, 1er grand cru classé (A)
Note de dégustation: Goûté pour la première fois au château en avril 1997. Ni très profond ni très intense ; une odeur agréable, jeune, embaumant la pêche ; parfum à cadrer. Tendre, attrayant. A la dégustation des Master of Wine en novembre 2000, il semblait avoir mûri rapidement ; très parfumé, cette fois des " framboises tendres ". Un équilibre parfait. Un 'charmeur'. Mars 2001 **** M.B.
Tasting note: First tasted at the château in April 1997. Neither very deep nor intense, but rich ; a lovely, young scent, extraordinarily peachy ; flavour to match. Chewy, attractive. At the MW tasting in November 2000, it looked as though it would be fairly quick maturing ; very fragrant, this time 'soft raspberries'. Perfect balance. 'A charmer'. March 2001 **** M.B.
