Château Margaux--Millésime/Vintage 1998
Margaux, 1er cru classé
Note de dégustation: Goûté pour la première fois au chai en avril 1999: assez profond, violet-prune; mise en bouche suave, fini sec, bon fruit. Puis à la verticale de Wagner, même description, quoique, en lui donnant du temps dans le verre, une émanation incroyable de fruit et de bois, au bout d'une heure une touche de caramel, après trois heures agréablement exotique. Craquant, sec et fruité.Nov 2000 **** M.B.
Tasting note: First tasted in the chai in April 1999 : fairly deep, plummy-purple ; sweet entry, dry finish, good fruit. Next at Wagner's vertical, similar description though, given time in the glass, a great whoosh of fruit and oak, within an hour a touch of caramel, after three hours positively exotic. Crisp, dry and fruity. November 2000 **** M.B.
