Château Margaux--Millésime/Vintage 1999

Note de dégustation: Cabernet Sauvignon 77 Merlot 15 Cabernet Franc 8 et Petit Verdot 8(...) En novembre 2000: nez attrayant de fruit et de bois ; après trois heures, vraiment exotique, plein de fruit et de bois mais bien mélangé. Plus récemment au château, un parfum étonnant; très suave, qui donne à mâcher mais à côté du 2000, une touche d'âpreté. Le millésime 1999 a été embouteillé en même temps lors de ma dernière visite, le 25 juin 2001 : 200 000 bouteilles, le grand vin représentant 40 de la production. Mars 2001 **** M.B.
Tasting note: Cabernet Sauvignon 77 Merlot 15 Cabernet Franc 8 and Petit Verdot 8 (...) November 2000 : attractive fruit and oak nose ; after three hours positively exotic, full of fruit and oak but well integrated. Most recently at the chateau, an amazing fragrance ; very sweet, chewy but alongside the 2000, a touch of rawness. The '99 was being bottled at the same time of my last visit, 25 June 2001 : 200,000 bottles, the grand vin being 40 of the production. March 2001 **** M.B.
