Château Margaux--Millésime/Vintage 2002

Note de dégustation: Bien meilleur en bouteille que depuis le fût (qui est bien entendu l'objectif de la vinification), ce vin révèle une couleur dense rubis/violet dans un style qui rappelle le millésime 1988 mais avec plus de puissance, concentration, volume. Il a un nez superbe, élégant de fruits noirs, mélangé aux truffes, fleurs et bois. Le vin est moyennement corsé, dense, avec de très beaux détails, de la fraîcheur, et une finale persistante avec une impressionnante concentration. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate # 158 Avr 2005
Tasting note: Performing better from bottle than at any time in cask (which of course is the objective of great winemaking, isn't it?), this wine reveals a dense ruby/purple color in a style somewhat reminiscent of the 1988 but with more power, concentration, and volume. It has a beautifully elegant nose of black fruits intermixed with truffle, flower, and oak. The wine is medium to full-bodied, dense, with wonderful precision, freshness, and a long, full-bodied finish with impressive levels of concentration. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2030.
