Christ's lifeless body hanging on the cross, Lord Sabaoth appearing above in blessing, two angels with veiled hands leaning towards the Crucifix, the middle register occupied by the personifications of the sun and the moon and two groups of mourners against the buildings of Jerusalem, the upper compartments portraying Sts. Blaise and Haralambii, the respective ones at the bottom depicting two images of the Mother of God, the Vladimirskaya at the left and the "Soother of Sorrows" opposite; painted on gold ground with bright colours
