Lot Essay

Petr Borisovich Krokhonyatkin was born near Kastroma in 1929. He graduated from the Yaroslavl Art School in 1949 and from the Surikov Art Academy in the studio of F.P.Reshetnikov and V.G.Tseplakov in 1956. Krokhonyatkin has been a member of the Union of Artists since the mid-1950s. His works have been exhibited throughout Russia; one of the most significant exhibition includes 'All-Union Art Exhibition' which took place in Moscow 1965.
