Lot Essay

Andreenko studied painting at the School of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts in St Petersburg from 1912-1917. The following year he moved to Odessa before moving to Bucharest, Prague and then, finally, Paris in 1923 where he became part of the emigré Russian artistic community.
