Oblong, the hinged cover and sides chased and engraved to simulate wood grain, tax bands, and the manufacturer's label 'H Upmann', with gilt interior, the inside cover engraved with an allegorical figure representing the Island of Cuba and a Russian dedication dated 1 June 1884, marked inside cover and base
