BOSSU, Jean Bernard. Nouveaux voyages dans l'Amérique Septentrionale. Amsterdam [but Paris]: Changuion, 1777.
8o (191 x 119 mm). Engraved frontispiece and 3 engraved plates (one folding). Contemporary French mottled calf, smooth spine gilt.
FIRST EDITION, THE AUTHOR'S RAREST WORK. This work, like the two previous (see lots 26 and 27) was composed in epistolary fashion. This text provides additional information of Bossu's tour from 1770 to 1771 on the Arkansas and Louisiana Indian tribes. Bossu had trouble with the authories over the publication of his first book, possibly explaining why this book bears a false imprint. Field 158; Graff 362; Howes B-627; Sabin 6470; Streeter sale II:1520.
