Large oblong folio (457 x 628mm.), lithographic map printed in red and black (very minor tears at fold intersections, without loss). Folded into original publisher's protective boards of brown cloth, titled in gilt on front cover (very slight wear).
A VERY DETAILED MAP, published only eight years after Colorado achieved statehood, depicting mountain ranges, watercourses, military outposts, the routes of a number of recently completed rail-lines and locating many of the state's very productive mining settlements (including some now vanished). Very rare. Not traced in the usual bibliographical sources.
