Original cherry muslin-backed drab paper boards, uncut (spines faded, labels a bit browned, boards a bit scuffed); modern quarter morocco gilt slipcase. Provenance: James Fenimore Cooper (signature); Susan Fenimore Cooper (signatures); Fenimore Cooper (signatures dated 1895); William Cooper (inscription).
