Bought on release and stored at a contstant temperature since then.
I had the opportunity to meet with this consignor several months ago as I examined his wine. A self-proclaimed "computer guy," he expressed some "seller's remorse" as he handed off his wines, particularly about the gems of this collection: the 1990 Latour and l'Evangile, the 1989 Pichon Lalande, and the 1986 Mouton. He was sad to see his wines go and, I believe, that fact is important to know as a buyer. When bidding on these immaculate complete cases of wine and considering their provenance, remember: they were owned (since release) by a gentleman who cared for their condition so much that he was sad to see them go to the block. What better assurance of their quality can there be?!
