a 'silex' oak sideboard
Designed by Gustave Serrurier-Bovy, circa 1904
High shaped rectangular back set with a small cupboard with two rectangular doors with chequer glazed square above a linear carved panel, flanked on either side by an open compartment each supported by a rectangular panel openworked with linear decoration and extending into the base, the lower structure with two rectangular doors above rectangular frieze, on shaped feet, with black lacquered metal grips and hinges openworked with linear and geometrical motifs and applied to the wood with small round-headed screws
