SCOTTISH MILITARY INTEREST, AN IMPOSING 20TH CENTURY SCOTTISH SILVER EQUESTRIAN CENTREPIECE OF A MOUNTED TROOPER OF THE ROYAL SCOTS GREYS,
MARK OF HAMILTON & INCHES, EDINBURGH, 1928,
The statuette of a trooper in full dress uniform of circa 1900, set on a massive wood base with simulated rocky finish, one side applied with a silver plaque engraved with the regimental badge & inscribed to Lieutenant F.E.S Bowlby on the occasion of his marriage in November, 1930 together with the names of all the donors in descending order of rank, (the statuette marked underneath hooves), 23 3/8 in. high (59.5 cm.).
