A LATE 19TH CENTURY VIENNESE SILVER, ROCK-CRYSTAL & ENAMEL FIGURAL TIMEPIECE,
MARK OF HERMANN BOEHM, VIENNA, CIRCA 1870,
Inventory number 8656, modelled as a satyr supporting aloft a rock-crystal globe etched with star motifs, containing a brass movement signed "Boisson", with enamelled dial, eagle finial (present but detached), the satyr with enamelled Pan's pipes suspended on cord over one shoulder, on rock-crystal, silver & enamel pedestal upon a hexagonal base on six mask feet, applied around the pedestal with six small enamelled creatures, 9 in. high (23 cm.).
