The tapering handles carved with pendent foliage & demi-flower heads, engraved with Egyptian lotus motifs & bands of zig-zag & lozenge decoration, the scimitar blade depicting a bedouin Arab watering his camel, palm trees behind, tip of blade engraved with a feathered wing, ALSO a Victorian silver sandwich server with Japanese carved bone figural handle & sprung blade, mark of Atkin Brothers, Sheffield, 1884.
