A VICTORIAN SILVER TWO-HANDLED YACHTING TROPHY BOWL,
MARK OF FREDERICK ELKINGTON, BIRMINGHAM, 1880,
Hemispherical with reeded & foliate-embellished scroll handles, the lower body fluted beneath three vacant panels & a fourth panel at front depicting a yacht race, each panel flanked by a dolphin wrapped around a trident, a band of egg & dart decoration around the pedestal foot, 11½ in. diameter (29 cm.), 10 in. high (25.5 cm.), width handle to handle 15¾ in. (40 cm.), 59 oz.
