MARK OF F.V.G. (Cyrilic), VOLOGDA, 1843,
Rectangular with foliate thumbpiece & gilt interior, the cover with map of the Governorate of Vologda (Vologodskaya Guberniya), together with a table of distances between cities, the base with a chart giving statistics for the infrastructure of the area & the sides with armorial shields of the various cities with their respective names on ribbons beside them, later French control marks, 3 in. long (7.5 cm.), 5 oz.
