A LATE 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN PARCEL-GILT SILVER VODKA SET,
MARK OF F.Ya (Cyrillic), MOSCOW, 1889,
Comprising jug & six vodka cups fitting onto a circular, 2-handled tray, 9½ in. diameter (24.2 cm.), bead borders, engraved with intersecting strapwork terminating in animal heads, diaperwork & scrolls, vacant disc reserves, cups with angular, beaded handles & gilt interiors, centre of tray inscribed in Cyrillic "Ot Kievskogo Voynnogo Sobraniya" translating as "From the Kiev Military Assembly", the cups with gilt rims, the jug with gilded handle & lower cylindrical section to neck, scroll finial, foliate engraving to cover, 9½ in. high (24 cm.), 41 oz. (8)
