A SMALL RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CLOISONNE ENAMEL KOVSH,
INDISTINCT MARK OF FEDOR RUCKERT, INVENTORY NUMBER 8222, PROBABLY 1896/1908,
Ropework rim, onion knop finial at front, handle of fleur-de-lys form , exterior with plain silver-gilt sides & plique-á-jour frieze of red lozenges & emerald green rectangles on black band, top of handle & interior all-over enamelled with shaded enamel flowers in pink, lime green & violet on pale turquoise ground, the centre with eagle in apricot, dark blue & green on oval cream panel, base with a second (cancelled?)inventory number with line through it, 3¾ in. long (9.5 cm.).
