A LATE 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CLOISONNE SPOON,
MARK OF IVAN CHLEBNIKOV, "88" STANDARD, MOSCOW, CIRCA 1880,
Of heavy gauge, with ovoid bowl, tapering stem with disc at centre & terminating in a larger disc with dark brown "petals", decorated with flowers in red, white, turquoise & very dark brown on a bright dark blue ground around a central silver-gilt reserve engraved with initial "S", the stem with geometric designs, 8 in. long (20.3 cm.).
