A 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CLOISONNE ENAMEL BRATINA & STAND,
MARK OF PAVEL OVCHINNIKOV, "91" STANDARD, MOSCOW, 1875, ALSO BEARING LATER ENGLISH IMPORT MARKS FOR GEORGE STOCKWELL, LONDON, 1929 AND FRENCH CONTROL MARK ON RIM OF STAND,
Decorated with border of white & turquoise lozenge motifs, bands of alternate bright green & dark blue tongue motifs, bands of flesh-pink beads & frieze of foliage in red, white, 2 shades of blue & 2 shades of green, interior similarly enamelled with large rosette at centre encircled by scrollwork, the stand with raised centre enamelled around a small vacant reserve, bowl 6 in. diameter (15.3 cm.), stand 7¾ in. diameter (19.8 cm.).
