AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CLOISONNE ENAMEL MATCH-BOX HOLDER,
MARK OF 11TH ARTEL, 1908/17,
Decorated identically on both sides into two triangular sections bisected by a diagonal band, the upper section with flowering plant in yellow & bright green on deep blue ground, the lower section made up of two triangular panels & a broad band comprising three rows of blue beads on a brown ground, the triangular panels in brown, black,& shades of blue & green, the diagonal band with five discs in two shades of blue on a 2-shade green ground edged on one side with a yellow bead border, 2 3/8 in. long (6 cm.).
