AN ANTIQUE NATURAL PEARL, DIAMOND AND SYNTHETIC RUBY PENDENT NECKLACE
Designed as a circular-cut diamond scrollwork and collet panel suspending a light brownish grey natural pearl weighing 10.87 carats (43.51 grains) to the cabochon synthetic ruby surmount and fine-link neckchain, circa 1870, later chain, pendant 5.5 cm long
Accompanied by report no. 48126 dated 6 March 2007 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the pearl is a natural saltwater pearl, showing no indications of artificial colour modification
Report no. 984034 from the Precious Stone Laboratory London dated 11 September 2007 stating that the pearl is a natural pearl, no evidence of artificial staining was detected
