Modelled to the left and right, with cold enamelled muzzles and udders and with garlands of stylised flowers about their necks, with gilt horns, on green rectangular bases

Schledorn, 'Delfts aardewerk, Geschiedenis van een national product' Gemeentemuseum, The Hague, Catalogue (The Hague, 2001), Vol. II, p. 236 for a variety of cows made by De Porceleyne Byl pottery, and p. 313 for cows made by De Klaauw pottery, one of which (in the white) is very akin to the present examples in its modelling.
