EARLY 18TH CENTURY, THE LEGS AND STRETCHERS 19TH CENTURY
The top and three sides decorated overall in engraved première and contre-partie Boulle marquetry, the rectangular top centred by a stylised flowerhead motif within foliate C-scrolls, surrounded by flowerhead-filled trellis pattern within a scrolling lambrequined foliate border, above a frieze drawer and a kneehole hinged door conformingly inlaid and flanked to each side by three drawers, the sides inlaid with conforming Boulle marquetry, the ebonised back banded with engraved brass lozenge-shaped reserves, above rectangular banded blocks and on square tapering legs joined by a concave-shaped box stretcher, and terminating in ball sabots, some losses to marquetry and brass banding
