Maker's mark only, probably a trefoil, unidentified (Citroen 1069), Amsterdam, circa 1680
Oval cast box, the reverse with a scene of Apollo and the Muses after a painting of Hans von Aachen, the bombé sides with scrolling foliage and satyr's masks, the box and hinged cover rim inscribed; Het is een doos van der min and Het meissie staat in sijner sin, the cover decorated in high relief with a rustic couple preparing their meal, marked inside box
