A GROUP OF THREE GERMAN & ONE RUSSIAN SILVER/SILVER-MOUNTED PAPER KNIVES,
EARLY 20TH CENTURY,
Comprising a Russian silver example, incuse mark AW, 1908/17, with leaf-chased panel centred by monogrammed reserve and dated "26/VI/1912", three German examples with ivorine blades, two with Russian import marks, one with dog's head handle, one with owl on leafy branch handle, the third with PLATED mount by WMF, depicting a portait of Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, (1847-1934), German Supreme Commander from 1916 & later German President, in uniform with flags & Iron Cross witin laurel wreath, reverse with Imperial German arms, ALSO a plated Continental cigar cutter formed as a bridled horse's head.
