The 8in. wide brass dial with engraved and silvered chapter ring, signed James Smith/London on a recessed cartouche to the matted centre with date square (alarm disc lacking), the arch with painted floral decoration around rolling moon, the twin line and fusee movement with verge escapement and Dutch rack strike on two bells, alarm work now lacking; pendulum, winding key, case key
