Lot Essay

Röhrich appears to have been active producing good quality models of Antique bronzes from the late 18th century to the first half of the 19th century. Röhrich would have been competing with the workshop of Benedetto Boschetti for the affluent tourist trade of the day. A twin-handled bronze urn decorated in relief with the Labours of Hercules, signed and dated 1830, was sold anonymously, Christie's, London, 7 July 2005, lot 443.
