Painted in the Kakiemon palette enriched in gilding, with a figure in the well and two figures and large fronds of bamboo nearby, four birds in flight above, within a foliate border divided by flowerheads, brown line rim (minute chip to rim at 9 o'clock, area of slight wear by well, minute wear to brown rim)
