CIRCA 1730, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, PAINTER'S LETTER K FOR KRETSCHMAR TO EACH
Each decorated in underglaze blue, yellow, iron-red, turquoise and green enriched in gilding with branches of flowering peony, prunus and chrysanthemum and with two exotic insects in flight, within a double concentric underglaze blue circle cartouche, the iron-red and gilt border with diaper-pattern reserved with panels of flowers and flowerheads, the underside with two sprays of underglaze blue and iron-red flowers (one with a minor chip to footrim, very minor wear)
