The print source for the scene on the teabowl with a lady writing at a desk is an engraving by Albrecht Schmidt of circa 1740, illustrated left. Cf. Siegfried Ducret, Meissner Porzellan (Brunswick, 1972), p. 170, no. 222 for a teabowl and saucer with a related scene on the teabowl and a similar cartouche on the saucer.
