A MEISSEN SILVER-GILT-MOUNTED SCENT BOTTLE AND COVER
CIRCA 1735-40
Of flattened teardrop form with canted edges on an octagonal foot, the seladon ground reserved on each side with panels of harbour scenes with figures at discussion, within elongated ogival gilt band cartouches, the canted corners gilt, the white sides with gilt scroll ornament, the rim with a silver-gilt mount joined to the screw-top domed cover by a chain (small section of foot restored, slight rubbing to gilding)
