A Japanese ivory tusk carving, signed Kogetsu, Meiji Period (1868-1912)
modelled as a mother and small child crawling on their hands and knees attempting to recapture a cockerel, chicken and their young chicks, incised signature to base -- 22.3cm. (56.8cm.) wide, wood stand.
